As the title says, I'm working on a full blown recreation of the Abe's Exoddus Prototype on PC.
Given I use Pixlr, Sony Vegas (where needed) and GIMP, I would like to receive some help from you - does anyone have a full list of differences between the final game and the July 1998 prototype?
My main goal is to rebuild a whole blown prototype using these sources:
Abe's Exoddus Demo - Mines (PC and PSX, where possible a reconstruction of the backgrounds is in order!) Abe's Exoddus Prototype (PSX, again, where possible, a reconstruction of the BGs is in order) some of Kapteeni's findings (beta Feeco, some elements from Fusionbly as well) Mini-RF reconstruction based on TL.LVL anything that can remotely make it a PC prototype.
So far, I've replaced a few screens (first Quicksave handstone + first boot screen) but as I am posting this I am going to replace a lot of the Necrum Mines backgrounds with their demo versions where needed - you'll see smaller billboards as opposed to the final version. It's quite a hard work since I have to manually extract each BMP (Paul's Decoder crashes halfway through MI.LVL, at around 46%) but as soon as I am done with Necrum, it's going to be smooth sailing from there.
