Ok guys I sadly have to inform some bad news about the possible Exoddus remake.
Stewart, who works in the JAW organization, has stated the following: "Not long after New ānā Tasty shipped on PS4 in late July 2014 it became clear we would not be working with Oddworld Inhabitants on any future full scale projects again, as such we had to find new work and fast."

Exoddus would obviously be a full-scale project. So it means the team of JAW & OWI won't develop co-operately Exoddus remake. It can still happen, but OWI will either have to develop the game within their own organization, or outsource it to another. It's sad, because JAW & OWI already co-operated successfully many times (the HD ports and New 'n' Tasty all sold fairly well). If they hand the Exoddus remake's development to another developer it's a considerable risk. There's also the problem that since JAW will not be involved, they probably can't use the assets from New 'n' Tasty, which will considerably delay the project.
Note that this didn't happen because New 'n' Tasty didn't sell enough, because they already said they have enough funds to work on Exoddus remake in April 2015. Remember that New 'n' Tasty's sales figures would be the deciding factor whether or not Exoddus will be remade.
Instead, I presume the co-operation between JAW and OWI didn't work well. There was probably too much tension between the two during the development for one reason or another. There's also a chance that JAW might not have wanted to become too profiled as a secondary Oddworld studio as they said they've moved onto to other non-Oddworld projects. Just my theories, but one thing for sure is that it's not about how New 'n' Tasty turned out, because it sold well and got good reviews.
We can't really get any details and further information of that until someone from OWI (most likely Lanning) will mention something in an interview.
